Here is a story from Barbara, what she saw and felt was amazing.

"We had a busy week . I want to share one experience of how

God was working daily with our team. During our fourth day, there was a need

to get to a store. The man who accompanied me , from our team was Mike. Mike

works for Dayspring, and he was wearing a bold red t shirt with a white

cross on  the front.  As we walked on the broken sidewalks we came upon a

man lying on the sidewalk. I stopped and shook  him, he was warm but did not

move.  One of the by-standers indicted to us that he had fallen down because

he was drunk.  The by-standers said, he tells them that his family will come

for him ,but they never do. My heart broke  for his abandonment . I became

concerned for his safety. We returned from the store , and received comments

that alcohol abuse  was common in the town , and there wasn't much that

could be done about his condition. I thought, that being a woman, it would

not have been appropriate to engage with the man.

Our group was readying ourselves  to go into the community to share Gods

word . As we left the church all of our group had to physically  walk past

or over the man on the ground.  When we all  finished passing  his fallen

body I began to cry. Many asked why I was so upset. Looking back, I think I

was the most  upset that 22 of us walked over this man as we continued on

our way to the plaza, without stopping. We were at the plaza several hours

and everyone engaged in sharing the word with those visiting the plaza. I

found it difficult to dismiss my feelings.  To make things worse, We again

walked past him as we returned .  Linda put her arm around me and prayed

with me as we walked.

While we were getting ready for dinner,   Mike and Patrick  went back to the

man and prayed over him.  As they prayed he woke up, and began talking  with

them.  Remember the red shirt?  The man did not speak English ,and the men

from our team did not speak Spanish.  Mike pointed to his shirt as he

prayed, He was certain the man understood their intention.

I  was so honored  and relieved that these  two men honored my heart , by

returning to  the drunk man to pray.  They were a testament,  that when

nothing can physically be done , we  still  have the power of  prayer. The

Holy Spirit  will make a way for God's words to be understood ,in the worst

of circumstances.  Prayer is powerful beyond our understanding.  As

disciples  of Jesus Christ, There should  never a time when nothing can be

done."

Prayer is am amazing this. How often do you take things to the Lord in Prayer?
