Take a moment to think about that… Have you ever been out of your comfort zone? Have you ever been pushed into a place where you thought, “this is uncomfortable” or “I would have never done this on my own”?

I have many times, and as hard as it is, I am always so thankful for it. Being pushed out of your comfort zone is a fantastic way to grow with the Lord.  While in Costa Rica you will be pushed out of your comfort zone with many things, people may not speak the same language as you… that may be a little frustrating but if you are willing to step out of your comfort zone  you will find a way to communicate.  Trust me! I lived in Central America for 3 months and I only know a few basic words in Spanish. You might even get thrown out of your comfort zone when the ministry schedule changes but if you trust in the Lord you will see how He orchestrated things the way they needed to be.

 My favorite part about missions trips is seeing how God takes that person in the beginning of the week and pulls them out of their comfort zone and by the end of the week you see a whole new person. It’s simply amazing!
