The team has arrived and we have started our mission!  God is being glorified in this trip! We spent the morning painting some benches and walls at a playground at a nearby school named La Trinidad. In the afternoon we went for a prayer walk around the neighborhood. Here is what one team member had to say about the trip and God's faithfulness so far:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. -Matthew 28:19-20

"Today has been a beautiful day in which God has shown up to guide our team and outpour His love to the Costa Rican people.  Praise be to God for his love and faithfulness!  In particular, I was able to go on a prayer walk with my team around the neighborhood of the loving church (La Iglesia de Dios de Eden) in which we are now staying.  We brought around tracks and handed them to people we encountered.  Praise be to God, I had the opportunity to talk with a woman I encountered for a few minutes.  She told me how she knew God.  I asked if there was anything I could pray with her about.  In response, she said the only prayer request was that she would grow closer in her relationship with God.  What a beautiful opportunity to meet a sister in Christ on the side of the street miles away from my home!  Gracias a Dios por este oportunidad!!!!  Also, we had a time of singing with our group at the end of the day.  We began singing "How Great is Our God."  Less than 30 seconds into the song, children came in through the door and began going around the circle with a hug for each of us.  What a blessing from God!  Gloria a Dios!" -Jenny
