So far on our missions trip in Costa Rica, we have done many cultural activities. We visted a beautiful chapel that was almost a hundred years old! It was breathtaking seeing all the beautiful architecture.

Then we saw a man and his family who run a small business making clay birds. During all of this, Lynsey took charge of painting a mural on one of the church walls. She recruited a few of our artistic people to help her finish. It looks wonderful!

July 4 was a "free day" for us, where there wasn't any planned ministry. We took a bus to the beach, where there was a market nearby. We shopped and played in the waves. Chuck and Andy courageously saved a Costa Rican man's life-literally!-who was drowning. Praise God, they pulled him out and he was taken to a hospital.

We have been busy all week helping the church prepare and run a children's program. All the children are wonderful! Thought it seems like we aren't doing much laborous work, we are building relationships with the Ticos (the Costa Ricans), and our own team, and have had many opportunities to share Christ.

It has been an awesome trip. We know that God is all around us and has total control… because we were made for such a time as this.
